When a medical emergency happens on the water, the actions taken in the first few minutes can make a critical difference.
This session will give parasail captains and crew a practical overview of the lifesaving skills they should be prepared to use before professional help arrives.
Topics will include:
- Proper CPR
- AED use
- Recognizing the signs of cardiac arrest, stroke and heart attack
- Responding to choking emergencies
- Important considerations when assisting children
- General first aid principles.
The goal is to help crews recognize serious medical situations quickly, respond with greater confidence and provide meaningful support until EMS or other emergency personnel can take over.
